Description
Each year we celebrate our veterans by having a parade on Main Street in Washington. The parade features the "BOX FLOAT CONTEST." There are 3 student categories: 1st- 4th grade, 5th- 8th grade, and 9th- 12th grade. There will be a cash prize presented in all 3 age groups. The floats are to be made out of cardboard. They may wear a box, or pull it on a wagon or battery operated vehicle. The float must have a patriotic theme. Lets see some imagination! NEW THIS YEAR: Adult Golf Cart decorating contest; the same 3 prizes.The parade begins at the Library and ends at WHS gate 4.
